The David L. Maynard, Sr. Aquatic Center, known as the MAC, is a 300,000 gallon year-round aquatic-recreation facility with eight 25-yard training lanes (six are competitive with blocks), a toddler section with the Frog Slide, and a zero-depth entry, hand-railed ramp.
The pool is covered with a semi-permanent structure. From June through Labor Day weekend, the walls are taken down, but the ceiling stays up providing sun-safe fun in the water. The walls are put up through the winter months and the deck area is heated. The water is heated year-round to a range of 82° - 84° Fahrenheit. Along with the warm water and usage-adaptability, there is also plenty of parking and ample deck space for party gatherings. The MAC has something to offer everyone.
