The Discarded Computer Equipment and Television Management Law, otherwise known as the E-Waste Ban took effect July 1, 2011. This ban regulates the disposal of electronic equipment. This ban no longer allows landfill disposal of electronics and computers. These items can no longer be placed in your regular trash and must be taken to a proper electronic recycling site:
