Burlington Recreation & Parks in partnership with the Burlington Downtown Corporation presents the 4th annual Burlington Downtown Halloween Spooktacular. Twelve and under ghosts, witches, fairies, princesses and other spooky friends are invited to walk in this year’s Costume Parade. Parade participants will line-up on the lawn of the Municipal Building, 2:15pm – 2:55pm. Parade starts at 3pm with Tim Smith's Jazz Squad leading the fun through Downtown Burlington. Trick-or-treating downtown is 3:30pm - 5:30pm. Look for the orange and black balloons marking this year’s locations. Enjoy more spooky fun in and around the Depot 3pm - 6pm
Parade participants return back to the Depot at 5pm for the Costume Contest. To be eligible for the costume contest you must walk in the Costume Parade starting at 3pm on at the Municipal Building on Lexington Avenue. Burlington Recreation & Parks invites you to come out and ride the amusement rides, enter the costume contest, play carnival games presented by local non-profit groups, and enjoy an evening of Halloween fun at City Park on Saturday, October 26th. Walk over to Field #1 for a costume contest (5:30pm), glow in the dark hoop dancing, and more Halloween fun. At 8pm turn your eyes to the sky for the annual aerial Halloween Fireworks show. Come out to the Burlington City Park in support of the Alamance County Arts Council. Take a ride on the dark side aboard the Haunted Halloween Train. Creep on board for some thrills and shrills with scenes along the track and a ghost story with a special twist. Do you trust yourself to be at the mercy of your own nightmare? When this ghost train leaves the safety of the station, you are tossed into the hands of the unknown...do you dare to climb aboard? Make sure you don't miss this family fun event.
