[ARCHIVED] City Announces Christmas Parade Grand Marshal

Congratulation’s goes to this year’s Grand Marshal Winner, Brenda Allen. For those who may not know, Allen is the Executive Director of Loaves and Fishes Christian Food Ministry, but she is also so much more than that. Not only does she provide assistance to others by getting them food, but she gives to their spiritual and personal needs as well. In the past, she has helped the people of her community find employment, housing, transportation, furniture and anything else they may need.

Allen always goes beyond the call of duty. She goes out of her way to make herself available any time of day for any type of volunteer work opportunities that may come her way. No matter the person, whether they are a donor, volunteer or client, she treats each person she comes across with the utmost kindness and respect. Without her, Loaves and Fishes wouldn't be where it is today. She has helped the Christian Food Ministry grow exponentially over the years, which has helped tens of thousands of people.

Her compassion has, leadership and love of humanity has led her to be this year’s Grand Marshal. Burlington salutes you, Brenda Allen.
