[ARCHIVED] Dark in the Park: Fireworks Canceled-- The Rest of the Fun is Still ON

Thanks to the “Frankenstorm” that is bringing winds and rain to Burlington this weekend, some changes will be made to the Dark in the Park festivities. Please call the Recreation & Park’s “leisure line” at 222-5147 for the most up to date information about schedule changes due to weather.

• The Dark in the Park Fireworks have been canceled due to unsafe conditions as a result of high winds.
• All other activities at Dark in the Park are still on with the following location changes:
• The Tim Smith Band will now be playing at the Thataways Stage from 5-7pm
• The costume contest will take place at the TJ Sport Shelter
• The hula hoop performance will occur on the lawn below/behind Thataways
• Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served from the concession trailer behind the Dutch Barn Gazebo.
• Amusement rides will still be offered and the Haunted Train will make its spooky loop from 6:30-10pm.
