[ARCHIVED] NCDOT to Resurface Church St. (U.S. 70)

Work will begin to resurface a section of U.S. 70/Church Street from N.C. 62 to Forestdale Drive on 7/10.

At 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, the N.C. Department of Transportation will begin closing lanes on U.S. 70/Church Street, weather permitting. The temporary lane closures will occur from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 p.m. until 8 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. The work is expected to be complete by Tuesday, Aug. 7.

NCDOT reminds motorists to stay alert and watch signs for construction information. Motorists may encounter congestion and delays in the work zone during peak travel times and are encouraged to allow additional travel time or use an alternate route.
