Road work at the intersection of St. Marks Church Road and Rural Retreat Road will be taking place beginning on May 14. NCDOT will be working to install a left turn lane and a traffic signal at this location in order to improve safety and operation in light of recent increases in traffic volumes. Portable electronic message boards will be posted to inform the public of the construction.
Project work hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm. Drivers may experience increased congestion due to lane closures.
