On Thursday May 3, the City of Burlington launched a redesigned City website. The newly redesigned website incorporates many features that ensure that the site is not only more attractive but is also much more user-friendly.
The redesigned website includes a larger resolution, bold new color palate and an eye catching graphic design, incorporating some of Burlington’s most picturesque landmarks. In addition to the website’s new look, the redesign features intuitive website navigation and a centrally located search bar, making it easier for citizens to find what they need quickly. Citizens also now have the ability to easily pay their utility bill, report a problem to the City’s “Connecting Burlington Communities” program, sign up for e-newsletters or view live traffic cameras by simply clicking the new buttons on the website’s homepage. The City’s most important news items and a comprehensive calendar of events are located on the new www.BurlingtonNC.gov homepage for quick reference by site visitors.
The City’s website URL will not change and users will automatically be directed to the redesigned website when they visit www.BurlingtonNC.gov on or after May 3, 2012. The City of Burlington’s website is hosted by third party vendor, CivicPlus, and contains a wealth of information regarding the City Council and all municipal services.
