[ARCHIVED] D.A.R.E. Burlington Inc. Family Kids Carnival

D.A.R.E. Burlington Inc. presents the 1st Annual Family Kids Carnival
April 25th – 29th at Holly Hill Mall 309 Huffman Mill Rd.
April 25th – 27th 6pm – 10pm; April 28th – 29th 1pm – 10pm

D.A.R.E. Burlington Inc. has partnered with the Burlington Police Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Department, Graham Police Department, and Haw River Police Department to promote a kids youth Carnival. Proceeds from this carnival will support the D.A.R.E. program (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) at these participating agencies. The purpose is to provide a positive fun event for the students, families, and our community.

This will be a family carnival provided by Inners Shows of 4091 Oak Circle Franklinton, NC 27525. Inners Shows is a family run carnival that dates back to 1909. They provide a large selection of Thrill rides, Kiddie rides, games and concessions. Holly Hill Mall and Business Center has generously offered D.A.R.E. Burlington their location to host the event.

The D.A.R.E. program is taught in 5th grade and 7th grade at most of the schools in Alamance County. The program teaches students how to make wise choices, avoid drug use, build up self-esteem, and resist bullying, violence, and gangs. We focus on learning how to resist negative peer pressure, make positive choices, learn smart ways to choose good friends and ways to stay healthy.
