CITY REPORTS SEWER OVERFLOW

As required by the Clean Water Act of 1999 (House Bill 1160), the City of Burlington provides

the following notice:


The City of Burlington had an overflow of approximately 2650 gallons of untreated wastewater

from its sewer collection system on March 5, 2005. This discharge was released from a cleanout

at 709 Westbrook Drive. It was caused by a blockage of grease in the Country Club Forest

Sanitary Sewer Outfall.


The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Water

Quality was notified. This information is being published as required by North Carolina

General Statutes, Article 21 Chapter 143.215.C.
