[ARCHIVED] Go Green. Recycle. Adopt a Pet!

LifeSaverChallenge_Full_thumb.jpg

During the week of August 22nd through August 27th, the Burlington Pet Adoption Center is asking you to “Go Green. Recycle. Adopt a Pet” by offering all of its adoptable cats and dogs for half price! Adoption fees during this promotional week will be $30 for cats and $40 for dogs and include the cost of spay/neuter surgery, a one-year rabies vaccination, and a preliminary round of shots.

The Burlington Pet Adoption Center will run promotions such as this throughout the months of August, September, and October as part of the ASPCA $100K Challenge during which they are tasked with saving the lives of 300 more pets during the three-month period than they did last year. If the Adoption Center accomplishes this goal, they could win the grand prize of a $100,000 grant from the ASPCA or one of many smaller grant awards.

The Pet Adoption Center is keeping the community updated on its progress throughout their participation in the ASPCA $100K Challenge. Learn more about the “Go Green. Recycle. Adopt a Pet” ½ priced adoption promotion and all future promotions by visiting the “Lifesaver Challenge” webpage at www.BurlingtonNC.gov/lifesaverchallenge or by “liking” the Burlington Pet Adoption Center on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/BurlingtonPetAdoptionCenter . More information about the ASPCA $100K Challenge and the 50 contending shelters can be found by visiting www.challenge.aspcapro.org .
