Dog

Burlington Animal Services will be holding a rabies clinic on Saturday, April 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The cost is $5.00. Bring your pet to the Burlington Pet Adoption Center, 221 Stone Quarry Rd., Haw River. Dogs must be on leash and cats in carriers.

The first case of rabies in Alamance County for 2009 was confirmed Tuesday, March 17. A skunk tested positive after an incident in West Burlington involving two dogs.

Please make sure your pet has a current rabies vaccine! It is the only way to protect your pet from this deadly virus and it is North Carolina state law.
