[ARCHIVED] Mayor Wall Named as One of the Triad's Most Influential

The December 2008 edition of The Business Journal hits Triad newsstands today featuring Burlington Mayor Ronnie K. Wall. Exerting influence beyond City limits, Mayor Wall was selected as one of the Triad’s Most Influential People for 2008. Crediting the “key decision makers who keep the Triad moving,” the publication selected Wall for his commitment to public service and regional collaboration.
“This recognition is a great honor …but being able to serve the citizens of Burlington is the greatest honor of all,” said Mayor Wall. “I’m proud of our City and the common goals we are moving towards to make our community even better.”
Citing Mayor Wall’s involvement with the Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART), the Piedmont Triad Council of Governments, and the Piedmont Triad Partnership’s leadership group, The Business Journal described the Mayor as “no stranger to public service.” Mayor Wall continues to forge alliances with cities on issues such as the Jordan Lake Rules and gang legislation.
“The City [Burlington] has a lot of forward momentum,” said Wall. “Hopefully we can continue to build on this into the future.”
