[ARCHIVED] Public Meeting Conservation & Restoration Opportunities in Travis, Tickle & Little Alamance Creek

Residents of Burlington and Alamance County are invited to a public meeting on conservation and restoration opportunities in Travis, Tickle and Little Alamance Creeks at 7:00pm on November 6th in 2nd floor Community Center of the Altamahaw-Ossippee Fire Station at 2806 Old NC Highway 87, Altamahaw, NC. Alamance County Division of Soil & Water Conservation will host the event and provide information on farmland conservation along with heritage and preservation programs.

Additionally, the results of a state-sponsored study to restore these creeks, which have been rated as impaired by North Carolina's Division of Water Quality, will be reviewed. Residents will have the opportunity to talk to county and state officials regarding restoration opportunities for the creeks and and funding options for conservation.
