Throughout June and July, Burlington City Council members will be stepping away from City Hall to spend time in Burlington’s diverse neighborhoods.
“Not every citizen has the time or ability to come downtown for Council meetings,” said Mayor Wall. “By going into the neighborhoods… we hope to be able to interact more closely with citizens in an environment where they are comfortable expressing their concerns.”
The Mayor and City Manager will attend the neighborhood meetings. Meetings will start at 6:30 PM in the following venues:
• June 5 – Ebenezer Church
• June 19 – Andrews Elementary School
• June 26 – Fairchild Community Center
• July 10 – Newlin Elementary School
• July 17 – Elmira Community Center
• July 24 – North Park Community Center
These meetings will have an open format; citizens should feel free to discuss any issues of concern in their communities.
