Remember, you can safely sign up to receive automatic emails from the City. The public can for example subscribe to be automatically notified of certain types of job openings with the City. These can be found on the Employment link in the Blue Column on the left side of the home page (Click the Job Opening button then the New Job Posting button); or if you prefer, you can sign up now by clicking here.)
The City’s HR department posts jobs in several categories (such as Clerical, Public Safety, Technical, Recreational/Seasonal, Professional, and Laborer/Equipment Operator). You can sign up to be automatically notified of any or all these postings but remember that you must subscribe to each category to receive notification of all new jobs posted.
Job postings are only one type of e-mail notification list that the public can sign up for, others include City News Flashes and Recreation and Parks announcements (for example: cancellations, rescheduled programs and games, etc.). To subscribe to one of these lists please go to the “Notify Me E-mail Sign-ups” Link in the Blue Bar on the left of the Home Page or you can go directly to the sign-up page with this link.
Unsubscribing:
If you decide that you want to no longer receive a certain email notification you can safely unsubscribe from that list at any time and your email address will be deleted from the database. An unsubscribe link is on the bottom of all emails that you receive from the list-serve. When you subscribe or unsubscribe from our mailing lists you communicate directly with our database and not with humans. It is our goal to keep those databases secure. You are in control at all times. No records are kept of your address or personal information. Your email address is kept confidential and you can be assured that you will not receive unsolicited messages.
