The Burlington City Council recently received two requests by the Burlington Downtown Corporation for their consideration. The Burlington Downtown Corporation Board and other interested citizens have been working together to find ways to revitalize the Downtown. On November 7, 2006 the Council agreed to fund 50% of the cost for the development of a master plan. The Phase I effort that the City will fund will not exceed $20,000. The Burlington Downtown Corporation will be responsible for the remainder of the funds. Councilmembers also agreed to appoint Councilmember Don Starling as an ex-officio member to the Board.
