The Burlington City Council recently received a check for $15,000.00 from the Pet Adoption Welfare Society (PAWS). The funds will cover expenses for a concrete pad and drain system at the Pet Adoption Center creating outside kennels. Concrete for the pads has been donated by Chandler Concrete, as well as Sunbrella fabric from Glen Raven for awnings to cover the animals. Hunt/Atlas Electric has donated exterior lighting for the project.
