The Haunted Train is $5/rider and follows all City Park height regulations; A parent/guardian is required to ride along with any child under 42". 2017 Dark in the Park welcomes Alamance County 4-H, Alamance County Relay for Life, Burlington Youth Council and Macon's Martial Arts. These local non-profits welcome children to play in their carnival games for a small fee in hopes of winning a prize. B Town Events featured costume contest for ages 12 & under starts at 6p. Participants are placed in of the following eight categories Princesses, Monsters, Superheros, Witches, TV Characters, Fairies, Animals & other. Age groups are categorized 0-3yrs, 4-6yrs, 7-9yrs, 10-12yrs. Prizes are awarded per age classification for each category (24), overall category winner (8) and one grand prize winner. All participants receive complementary trick-or-treat candy. In addition to the costume contest trick-or-treat candy is given out to Amusement Park riders after they exit the ride 5p-8p. The fun continues with life-size games on the softball field. Food trucks will be in and around the food court area next to the information & First Aid Tent.
