[ARCHIVED] Fare Free Election Days

Fare free on Election Days

Local elections are scheduled to take place across Alamance County on October 10th (primary) and November 7th (general). In an effort to reduce impediments to voting, the Burlington City Council has waived Link Transit fares all day on October 10th and November 7th.  Fares will be waived on all routes from 5:30am – 6:30pm, even if a rider is not using the service to vote.

A list of Link Transit stops nearest to polling places is available online at: http://linktransit.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/Polling_Places.pdf. Residents may find their polling place and other information regarding the local elections at https://www.alamance-nc.com/boardofelections/.

Questions regarding the fare waiver or Link Transit can be directed to (336) 222-5465 or info@linktransit.org.
