The City does not regulate the date or time of trick-or treating, but it does host some awesome Halloween festivities:
Dark in the Park

Come out and ride the amusement rides, enter the costume contest, play carnival games presented by local non-profit groups, and enjoy an evening of Halloween fun at City Park on Saturday, October 29th. Walk over to the Thataways Stage for our Costume Contest (6pm). At 8pm turn your eyes to the sky for the annual aerial Halloween Fireworks show. That Haunted Train will not take place this year due to flood damage.
Downtown Spooktacular

Burlington Recreation & Parks in partnership with the Burlington Downtown Corporation presents the 7th Annual Burlington Downtown Halloween Spooktacular.
Walk in the Costume Parade
Twelve and under ghosts, witches, fairies, princesses and other spooky friends are invited to walk in this year’s costume parade. Parade participants will line-up on the lawn of the municipal building, 2:15pm – 2:55pm. The parade begins at 3pm with Tim Smith's Jazz Squad leading the fun through downtown. Parade will end at the Depot.
Trick-or-treating downtown is 3:30pm – 5pm. Look for the orange and black balloons marking this year’s locations. A map will be provided day of.
