The City Council approved a contract between the City of Burlington and Mekuria Engineering, Inc. (MEI) for signal timing work on 28 signals in the City of Burlington at a cost of $58,800.00. NCDOT will reimburse the City of Burlington for the entire amount.
Mekuria Engineering, Inc. will provide the City of Burlington with the necessary engineering services for weekend before and after travel, stop, and delay study, development of system timing plans for 28 signalized intersections, and implementation and fine-tuning for three major corridors listed below.
Below is the list of corridors and associated signalized intersections that will be retimed for weekends.
