On 8/27, the City of Burlington will issue a final call to 22,047 subscribers to the CodeRED emergency alert system. This message is to inform subscribers that the City of Burlington will no longer use CodeRED to issue emergency alerts.
The following text will be delivered to CodeRED subscribers.

This is an important message from the City of Burlington to inform you that the City will no longer be using this CodeRED system to send emergency or weather notifications.
Alamance County is now providing emergency notifications to all residents of Alamance County and the City of Burlington through A.C.E. Alerts.
Publicly listed land-line phone numbers have been entered into the A.C.E. Alert system.
However, to add cell phone numbers, register for text or email alerts, or modify your notification preferences, you can visit www.alamance-nc.com/firemarshal/get-alerts. You may also text ALAMANCE to 888777 or call Alamance County Emergency Management at 336-227-1365.
