Weather Note:
July 3rd in the park is a rain or shine event. Which means will will have activities and shoot fireworks even in "light rain". Precipitation is predicted on Friday and special events staff will continue to monitor the weather.

In the event that the organizers, emergency management staff and pyrotechnics company all agree that it is not favorable to continue with the event, it will be posted on our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and websites. It is possible that firework start time could be pushed up or moved back based on the weather, this will also be shared via social media & website.

Unfortunately decisions like this are often made very close to the event start time. We will do our best to keep the community informed as information is presented to us.

The Burlington Recreation & Parks Department would like to welcome you to celebrate patriotism and civic pride at our Annual July 3rd Independence Day Celebration!

10:00 am - Amusement park rides will open

5:00pm - The Burlington Recreation and Parks Staff members will offer fun games on Field #1 which includes sack races, water balloon toss, watermelon eating contests. Bands will start on Field #1.

9:30pm - Fireworks will start

This event is for the young and young at heart so make plans now to join us and the Burlington community as we celebrate Independence Day. Food and drink concessions will be available throughout the park.
