8:30 – 9:20 - Question and answer session with Drs. Janetos and Tebo

9:20 – 10:30 -Dr. Anthony Janetos – Vice President of the THE H. JOHN HEINZ III CENTER FOR SCIENCE, ECONOMICS AND THE ENVIRONMENT
He will be addressing the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment, sponsored by the U.N . and the World Bank and the State of the U.S. Ecosystems, sponsored by the Heinz Center. Discussions will center on the economic value of ecosystem services to our economy and culture, and the state of these services both globally and locally.
10:40 – 11:50 – Dr. Paul V. Tebo – President - The Tebo Group, an organization focused on helping companies integrate sustainability as a framework for business growth through research, teaching and consulting. He will be addressing the role of environment in sustainable business management, with special focus on his work with DuPont.
Lunch: 11:50 – 1:30 – Harden Cafeteria – specially prepared menu using locally produced, organic foods supplied by local farmers.
12:00 – 3:00 – Alternative Fuel Automotive Show and Energy Exhibit – featuring vehicles using alternative energies. The Solar Village will also have an exhibit demonstrating use of wind and solar energy in both residential and commercial applications.
Communities and Business by Design – 215 Moseley Center
1:00 – 1:40 – Paula Sloneker – Special Projects and Storm Water Coordinator for the Piedmont Triad Council of Governments. Introduction to stormwater management.
1:40 – 2:20 – Mr. Richard Bell – President, Dick Bell Sustainable Landscape Design, Fellow with the American Society of Landscape Architects, and former Landscape Designer at Elon College. Low Impact Community Design for North Carolina.
2:20 – 2:30 – Break
2:30 – 3:10 – TBA. DENR Stormwater Management Division. Universal Storm Water Program
3:10 – 3:50 – David Pflegar – Water Quality Supervisor for Stormwater – Greensboro. Stormwater Management and Water Quality Improvement – Lessons Learned.
Terra Nova Societies Initiative – McKinnon Hall
1:00 – 1:20 – Terra Nova Society Reception for Speaker – Everyone is Invited!
1:20 - ? – Mr. Greg Taylor – Mr. Taylor is a Native American Storyteller, who will be exploring the relationship between the environment and our spirituality.
