COMMENTS:
The Burlington Police Department’s Community Oriented Policing (COP) neighborhood teams will be taking children from their patrol zones to Burlington’s Lake Mackintosh for a fishing rodeo. This event provides children from the Tucker Street, Beverly Hills, and Beaumont Avenue communities the opportunity to fish and form positive relationships with Burlington law enforcement officers and staff. Rods, reels, and bait will be provided for children to bank fish for a number of awards. Children will also be given boat rides on the lake. Lunch and awards will take place at the end of the fishing rodeo. For more information, contact Bo Jordan at 570-6630 or cjordan@ci.burlington.nc.us or Al Smith at 570-6630 or asmith@ci.burlington.nc.us.
