LOCAL TRANSPORTATION PROJECT LIST PUBLIC MEETING AND REVIEW PERIOD
The Burlington - Graham Metropolitan Planning Organization (BGMPO), the Transportation Planning Agency for the Alamance County area, has released the draft list of Local Transportation Projects and the NCDOT point’s summary. The new Strategic Transportation Investment policy evaluates and scores all projects requests with a data driven and technical analysis. The Local Projects list will be reviewed and also scored by the Transportation Advisory Committee(TAC) at the August 19, 2014 meeting. The TAC invites public review and comment on the list of MPO projects. Projects include highways, pedestrian and aviation. These documents and project maps will be available in the Municipal Conference Room adjacent to the Burlington Planning Department at the Burlington Municipal Building located at 425 S. Lexington Avenue in Burlington, NC from 4PM to 6pm on June 17, 2014. Staff will be available to review the information and answer any questions on the project list. No formal presentation will be made. The public comment period will end on August 8, 2014. The full list of projects is also available on the internet at www.bgmpo.org . The Burlington Graham Urban Area encompasses all of Alamance County plus portions of Guilford County and Orange County.
