Welcome to The City of Burlington's Office of Community Engagement. The Community Engagement staff works to serve Burlington's residents, staff, and media outlets by providing them with timely, abundant and reliable information.
Public Outreach
Direct Mail
City Works, a bi-monthly newsletter, is distributed through direct-mail to 22,000 residences and utility customers of the City. More information about City Works and digital copies can be accessed here. Social Media

Community Engagement staff is pleased to arrange talks or tours for student groups, scout troops, civic organizations, etc. Contact the Office of Community Engagement to learn about the options available to you and to schedule a talk or tour through the City of Burlington. Public Records Requests

Local Gov TV
Local Gov TV is a government access channel provided to the public as a partnership between the City of Burlington and Alamance County. You can find Local Gov TV on Charter Cable Channel 5 or on Youtube. Learn more about Local Gov TV and find the program schedule online at www.LocalGovTVnc.com.
Media Relations
The Office of Community Engagement is responsible for acting as a liaison between media outlets and the City. The Office of Community Engagement issues Media Releases regularly and serves as the primary media contact. To be added to the media distribution list and receive all Media Releases issued by the Office of Community Engagement, email your request to mlasater@BurlingtonNC.gov.
