Report Issues with Streets, Sidewalks, and Streetlights

If you see an issue on a City-owned street like a pothole, a buckled sidewalk, a street light that’s out, or flooding caused by a clogged storm drain, the best way to report it is with Fix it, Burlington! either online or by calling 336-222-5024.

Duke Energy, through an agreement with the City, provides and services streetlights. To report an issue with a streetlight that is out or is defective and purple in color, use Duke Energy's  online reporting tool or call 1-800-Power-On.

If you want to report an issue with speeding in a certain area, issues with traffic patterns, or a traffic signal issue, the best way to report it is with Fix it, Burlington! either online or by calling 336-222-5024.

When there are persistent speeding or traffic pattern issues, you can request certain measures to address the problem. Lowering speed limits, additional stop signs or traffic lights, and traffic calming projects may be possible. There are defined processes for these steps including approval by the City’s Traffic Commission
