The City of Burlington’s planning process involves two components, the Pre-Application Conference (PAC) and the Technical Review Committee (TRC). Both these processes are required elements of development. They offer opportunities for both applicants and City staff to collaborate on creating the best possible project for the City of Burlington.
Pre-Application Conference (PAC) – as part of the new UDO, development in the City is required to have a PAC in order to better prepare projects for a formal TRC submittal. Comments provided at the PAC are informal and non-binding.
Technical Review Committee (TRC) - all applications for development are required to go before the TRC. Comments received from the TRC are formal and binding to a project.
