Residents

We all experience the impacts of stormwater. Almost 2/3 of the water pollution in the state is caused by polluted runoff. This pollution can come from our lawn, rooftop and driveways. Because it is not filtered like wastewater, stormwater carries dirt, oil, fertilizers, and other pollutants directly into creeks, rivers, and lakes.

The City is constantly working to protect water quality and to manage stormwater, but your help is critical to success. Learn more about the impact of stormwater on residents and how you can help to improve water quality and erosion by browsing the links on the left hand side of your screen.
