Inclement Weather and Cancelations - Get Notified
Sign up for Notify Me to receive an email when practices or games are canceled. After 4pm, playing decisions will be made on the field.
Youth baseball/softball is offered for girls and boys ages 4-18. The youngest ages start with T-ball. The Peewee league is broken into gender with the coach pitching. Player-pitch begins in the Mite League.
Spring Baseball/Softball registration is from late February to early April. Fall Baseball/Softball registration is mid-July to early September. Click here for exact registration dates.

Burlington BMX is a volunteer-run, 501(c)3 non-profit. The track is located in Fairchild Park (1450 South Graham St).
The BMX season runs from February through early December, weather permitting.

Youth flag football is offered for girls and boys ages 5 - 12. Must be 5 by November 1 of the playing year. Flag football is a great opportunity for kids to display their skills without the hard contact. Participants will wear belts with flags attached which the defensive team must remove from the ball carrier to end a down. No experience is necessary.

Youth lacrosse is offered in the spring and fall. The fall season is instruction-oriented with just Saturday morning practices, while the spring season includes a full game and practice schedule. There are 4 divisions open to boys ages 7-14. Participants must be 7 years of age by September 1 of the playing year to participate. No experience is necessary.
Lacrosse participates in the Piedmont Community Lacrosse Association (PCLA). Teams will travel to Winston Salem, Kernersville, Oak Ridge and Burlington.

Burlington Recreation and Parks offer youth soccer to youth ages 4-16. The Biddy league is for ages 4-5 and is co-ed. The Beginner Peewee league is for 6-year-olds only and is also co-ed. All other leagues are divided by gender.

The Burlington Tennis Center offers programs and services for young players of all levels of skill. The BTC also organizes a calendar of events for the community including hosting regional and state high school tournaments, USTA junior tournaments, and more.

The Valley Golf Course is the City of Burlington's Municipal Golf Course. The Valley offers group lessons, Golf camps, Junior Clinics, and more. The Valley's Grow Golf Now is a program for the entire family that includes even non-playing family members in a child's learning experience.

Nestled along the banks of the Haw River, the Valley Golf Course (formally known as Indian Valley) offers the avid golfer a fair test of their golf game. The 18-hole Ellis Maples par 70 course is owned and operated by the City of Burlington and is available for regular and tournament play. Juniors and seniors are welcome.
Burlington Recreation & Parks offers seasonal co-ed kickball leagues for adults 18 and over. Players must be on a team roster but register individually.

The John Robert Kernodle Senior Center offers a variety of fitness activities for adults age 55. Fitness Classes include Dancercise, Yoga, Chair Yoga, Easy Does it, Healthy Back, Tai Chi, Tone up!, and more.
Burlington Recreation & Parks also participates in Senior Games. The Senior Games are held in the Spring and promote healthy lifestyles - both mentally and physically - by encouraging seniors to participate in their chose events throughout the year.

Burlington Recreation & Parks offers both spring and fall soccer for adults. Players must register as a team.
Spring season registration is in February with the season starting mid-March. Fall season registration is in August with the season starting mid-September.

Burlington Recreation & Parks offers both spring and fall softball for adults. Players must register as a team. Team play is available in a Men's League, a Women's League, and a Co-ed League.
Spring games start in April with organizational meetings and practices starting about a couple of weeks prior to games starting. Leagues that play 1-nights-a-week can expect about 11 games plus tournament play during the season.
Fall games start in mid-August with organizational meetings and practices starting about two weeks prior. Leagues that play 1-nights-a-week can expect 7 games during the season.
