Planning & Community Development can be broken down into the five (5) divisions listed to the left. In addition to traditional comprehensive planning, zoning and code enforcement activities; the department also manages a successful housing rehabilitation program through community development funds; is responsible for managing the geographic information system (GIS); and serves as the lead transportation agency for the Burlington-Graham Metropolitan Planning Organization.
