Fairchild Community Center features a double gymnasium, professional league baseball and a BMX bicycle track.
Outside, encompassing the grounds is a three court tennis complex, two adult softball fields for fun or tournament play, a playground unit, a youth baseball field, walking track, and two open picnic shelters. Fairchild has within its grounds two unique facilities, which have gained statewide recognition. The Burlington Athletic Stadium plays host to the Burlington Royals a rookie league for the Kansas City Royals. The Royals play all of their home games throughout the summer at the stadium. Along with the stadium the parks action continues throughout the year with the BMX bicycle track. From local competition to statewide meets, the track is renown across the state and throughout the BMX association.
The Fairchild Center is a 28,000 square foot facility situated on approximately 10 acres of sprawling grounds. This hidden treasure contains not only a 14,000 square foot gymnasium equipped with two full size basketball courts, but other amenities as well. The courts feature twelve fiberglass backboards with breakaway rims, an indoor volleyball and two badminton courts, a shuffleboard court, game room, and a large multi-purpose room. Fairchild plays host to a variety of large events from family reunions to concerts and more.

The 924 square foot game room is stocked with two pool tables, foosball, shuffleboard table, and you can watch your favorite programs on our 60” big screen TV. All games are coin operated. This is just the place to come and relax. Come check out the school’s mascots on the walls.
Computer Resource Room
This room is a great addition to the center and open to the public. It should be a welcomed asset to area children to utilize after school as well as for class and family projects.

The walking track is a hidden treasure at Fairchild Center. The track is open year round for citizens and residents of Burlington that are seeking to be heart healthy. If you enjoy the outdoors, the walking track is for you. The track is an open, safe park environment. If you want to walk at night the track is very well lit. If you want to get a jump-start on a physical routine, the walking track is a great place to start.
Races: Fridays at 7:00pm
Practices: Tuesdays 6:00pm-8:00pm
The track is located at Fairchild Park behind the Burlington Indians Stadium. This fast action packed sport is sanctioned under the American Bicycle Association (ABA). There are four skill levels: beginner, novice, expert and professional. Riders race in the same skill and age levels. This track is one of three ABA tracks in North Carolina. Burlington Athletic Stadium
The Burlington Athletic Stadium plays host to the Burlington Indians, a rookie league for the Cleveland Indians. The Indians play all of their home games throughout the summer at the stadium.
