Residential Recycling

 P: (336) 222-8465

In 1992, in an effort to save landfill space, Alamance County targeted certain recyclable items to be banned from their landfill.  Today Alamance County's recycling program, with the City of Burlington being a major component, is recognized as one of the most successful programs in the southeast.

On July 3, 2006 Tidewater Fibre Corporation (TFC) began the collection of recyclables.  Recycling collections is bi-weekly and will correspond to the same day as a resident’s solid waste collections.
