Our Easter Egg-Stravaganza event is free to attend and no registration is necessary. See you at Burlington City Park!

    March 24, 2018, 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM @ Thataways Youth Center

    Celebrate with Burlington Recreation & Parks at Thataways Youth Center with the whole family! Event includes breakfast, arts & crafts, and face painting. Breakfast will include coffee, orange juice, biscuit and fruit. The Burlington Youth Council will have a bake sale table to support local community projects. Don’t forget your camera to take a picture with the Easter Bunny! Tickets will be on sale until March 16. Pre-registration is required. NO WALK-INS ON DAY OF EVENT! Space is limited.

  2. Lifeguard Class March '18

    March 26, 2018, 4:00 PM - April 1, 2018, 5:00 PM @ Maynard Aquatic Center

    THIS IS THE LAST CLASS FOR SUMMER EMPLOYMENT! This class has prerequisites. Class participants must be able to: * Swim 300 yards without stopping. * Tread water for 2 minutes with hands out of the water. * In under 1 minute and 40 seconds, lifeguard candidates must be able to swim 25 yards and surface dive to a 13ft depth, retrieve a 10lb brick, hold it with both hands while swimming it back 25 yards, and get out of the pool. Additional competencies require good communication, teamwork, listening, and a can-do attitude.

  3. Burlington City Park Amusement Rides Open Good Friday

    March 30, 2018, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM @ Burlington City Park

    The Burlington City Park amusement rides will open on Good Friday, March 30th from 10:00am – 7:00pm, weather permitting. Bring your family out to City Park and start a tradition! Rides include the train, planes, boats, and cars. The Amusement Rides will also be open regular hours that weekend, but will be closed on Easter Monday.   4. Glow In The Dark Easter Egg Hunt for Ages 2 to 5

    Ages: 2-5 Mayco Bigelow’s annual glow in the dark egg hunt will be located at Fairchild Community Center due to renovations at the Mayco Bigelow Community Center. Event will start promptly at 6:00 pm. Don’t forget to bring a basket! There will be glow in the dark eggs, candy eggs, and prizes! The first 100 participants will receive a special prize, so come early! The Easter Bunny will be our special guest and families are welcome to capture those Kodak moments with their children.

  5. Fairchild's Annual Easter Egg Hunt for Ages 2 to 12

    March 31, 2018, 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM @ Fairchild Community Center

    Ages: 2-12 Celebrate with Burlington Recreation & Parks at Fairchild Community Center with the whole family! Event will start promptly at 10:00 am. Don’t forget to bring a basket! Ages will be divided into three groups: 2-5 years, 6-8 years, and 9-12 years and placed in sectioned fenced in areas accordingly. The Easter Bunny will make a special guest appearance at this event, so be sure to bring your camera! A drawing will be hosted for each age bracket of baskets, candy, stuffed animals, and more!
